The genesis of Excelgenius is rooted deeply in the evolution of spreadsheet software itself. My journey began with the acquisition of my very first computer, a Kaypro. Along with this prized possession came a software that would change the trajectory of my professional life – VisiCalc. Having a background in calculations, the power and potential of a spreadsheet were immediately evident to me. The possibilities seemed endless, and I was hooked.

As the late '80s rolled in, along with the rise of personal computers, I found myself working with Lotus 1-2-3. It was the behemoth of spreadsheet software during its prime, dominating the market and becoming an integral tool for many, myself included. The sheer capabilities it offered paved the way for more complex and sophisticated data handling.

However, the landscape was about to shift. Enter Excel. Admittedly, in its early days, I was skeptical. Could this new player truly rival the established giants? But Excel not only held its ground, it revolutionized the way we perceived and interacted with data. To my surprise, a temporary interest morphed into a lifelong passion. Today, decades later, my enthusiasm for Excel remains unwavering. In an era of rapid technological advancements, the relevance and need for Excel have only intensified.

Over the years, much of my knowledge has been shaped by the vast online community of Excel enthusiasts. Their insights, tips, and innovative solutions have been invaluable. Now, with Excelgenius, it's time for me to give back. I wish to share the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated, guiding others through the intricate maze of Excel, and helping them unlock its boundless potential.
